Dimension Requirement For A Edge Protection
- Edge protection must be provided at any other edge where a person could fall. Such protection must adhere to dimensions.
- Guardrail system must be of good construction, in good condition and be able to withstand the weight of a person at least 100kgs applied in any direction at any point;
- No nylon (or similar material) rope or timber is allowed to use as a guardrail;
- Scaffold may be used as fall protection around the edge of the roof by incorporating guardrails as edge protection into the scaffold.
Top-rails must be at least 1m above the working surface with mid-rails and toe-boards
